OMG the Westchester County Fair! Do you remember the corny commercials that they had for that--it was all like square-dancing music for the commercial or something like that? I think the fair existed into the 1990s but died out at some point during the '90s. :(
Hey Barb, thanks for the connection. Where in NYC are you? I'm in Yonkers ... not the greatest but I'm originally a Westchester brat--just from mid, not lower-Westchester. ;-) I'm about 3 blocks from the Yonkers train station (Metro North) and it's about a half-hour ride to Grand Central (which I really don't understand, because White Plains is a half-hour ride to GCT, and White Plains is about 20 minutes north of here!).
